Hex Aid-v2g

This allows you to Write, Alter, List, Save and Load hex code on the Spectrum.
It's based on a program in David Webb's book "Supercharge Your Spectrum"
(Melbourne House, 1983). I've added error trapping & defaults; combined
dec&hex addresses in lists; and a dec/hex converter.

Most of the functions are self-explanatory. Here's a few things which might
need explaining:

* Entering a blank address will default to the "Start of MC code area" address
displayed at the top of the screen.
* Entering M to character prompts will usually return to the main menu. This
also applies at the full screen "scroll?" prompt when displaying a list.
* When prompted "Len|Loc of routine" a value < 16384 is assumed to be a length,
whereas a greater value is assumed to be a location. In the latter case the
program works out the length needed based on the current RAMTOP and changes
  RAMTOP accordingly.
* When prompted "D|H + 1-5 digits" in the dec/hex converter, enter D followed
by a 1-5 digit decimal number, or H followed by a 1-4 character hex number,
to have it converted to the opposite type (eg. D93 or HE2F).
* When entering hex code, any number of bytes can be entered per line, as long
as the number of characters is a multiple of two. However, more than 10 bytes
will wrap the display and start to get messy; eight bytes is a sensible
maximum; or just the bytes for each command if transcribing from an assembler
  listing.

The List option is very basic, just printing up to 8 bytes per line with the
dec/hex address at the left. For more listing options, use my Hex Dumper
program also included in the HEX_TOOL.ZIP archive.
