Ghoti

A tasty dish for a funky fish awaits you in Ghoti by K. Jefford of
Upminster, Essex. You must eat as much plankton as you can in a single
day to survive, but watch out for the diving turtles which terrorise
the denizens of your cosy swamp. Full instructions are provided, and
the game runs on any Spectrum.

Q*Bert (aka. Qu-Bert - ZX81)
by Simon Godfrey

Paint the steps of the pyramid but avoid the boulders which tumble down in
Q-Bert by Simon Godfrey of Chesterfield, Derbyshire. The most colourful
paint available is grey, as the game is for the 16K ZX-81, but do not let
that put you off.

Full instructions are contained within the program, and Simon has
thoughtfully provided REM statements in front of the graphics lines to make
it easier for you to count off the number of spaces and graphics
characters.

Cat 'n' Mouse (aka. Paws)

Gobble up the mice but watch out for the much more dangerous rats in
Paws by Terry Braverman of Cambridge for the 48K Spectrum. Luckily you
play the part of a particularly gruesome moggie with poisonous spit
just right for dealing with the rats.

Paws was an entry in the 1984 Cambridge Awards competition and is
compatible with the Kempston joystick interface. Full instructions
are given in the program.

Raging Bull (aka. Seeing Red)

What do Scottish men wear under their kilts? The bull knows and is
seeing red in the game for the 16K Spectrum. The author, C.C. Stock of
Chelmsford, puts you in the role of the bull taking it out on the farmer.

Elfin Way

The shadowy landscape in which the Elves hide is fraught with danger
of both natural and supernatural origin. Climb up to peaceful hill-
tops but beware chasms which could spell your death. Also be wary of
Goblin settlements. Those evil folk love their weapons as much as they
hate Elfinkind. This gentle adventure for the 48K Spectrum was written
by J. Gorman of Greenford in Middlesex.

Infinite Scroll

Remove the pauses in a long screen listing with the Infinite Scroll
utility for the 16K Spectrum. Written by Jonathan Hatcher of Bourne-
mouth in Sussex it allows fast smooth scrolling through any Basic
program without having to press 'ENTER' to continue. It is a boon to
all programmers.
