3D BOWLING
by John Wilson
from ZX Computing Dec'84/Jan'85

The last time I went bowling I got my finger stuck
in a hole! No chance of that with John Wilson's game.

3D ZX81 bowling is an excellent simulation of a Ten Pin
bowling alley, with a good perspective view. Your Spectrum
[sic - this is a ZX81 program. JimG.] even keeps score and
puts a stop to cheating!

When run, the program sets up a 3D representation of the
bowling alley with the frame indicator and a flashing "spin
factor". The ball's trajectory is determined by the spin
factor, a '+' factor will give the ball a curve to the
right, a '-' factor will curve left and a zero factor causes
the ball to run straight down the alley.

Your score sheet is shown at the bottom of the screen and is
automatically filled in as the game progresses. Strikes and
spares are correctly identified and represented by x and /
respectively.

To control your ball use the keys 5 and 8 to position it
across the alley and then press B to release it, trying to
catch the spin factor at the required '+', '0' or' -,
position. This is where the skill comes in!

Once you have entered and de-bugged the game, SAVE it by
using GOTO 1470 and it will then RUN automatically on
re-loading.

This striking game will NOT spare you any frustration!
